Stand Up For NAPAC! #childabuse #survivors via @NAPAC
NAPAC (the National Association for People Abused in Childhood) is having a comedy night at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London on Wednesday 8 May 2013. It promises to be a magnificent night of fun and fundraising for the charity. There’s a great line up of top comedians including Stewart Lee, Mark Thomas, Mark Watson, Isy Suttie, Keith Farnan, comedy duo Ginger & Black and Tiernan Douieb, who will be hosting the evening.
‘Stand up for NAPAC!’ tickets are on sale now via the Bloomsbury Theatre website http://www.thebloomsbury.com/event/run/1783 costing £25/£20 conc.
Peter Saunders, Chief Executive of NAPAC, said: “This should be a great night. We are a small charity and have been overwhelmed by demand for our services recently. This event will bring in much needed funds. Please come and support us.”
NAPAC’s free Support Line has been extremely busy since the news of Jimmy Savile’s abuse came to public attention. It has given more people the courage to come forward and seek help for abuse they suffered in childhood. ‘Stand Up for NAPAC’ will help us to train more volunteers for our busy Support Line and run more Support Groups for survivors of abuse.
