I also see the people around me including family and friends who in one way or another I enabled and even passed it on to. I have struggled most of my life to not be needy. Sometimes there is a fine line of knowing when we're being needy or when we're truly in need. No one ever knew when I was truly in need believing I was the strong one. I wasn't I needed just as much as anyone and due to the neglect and multiple abuses suffered I may have needed more. All said and done, it's never too late to acknowledge and work on self.
